Proof of delivery

Every handover leaves a record

A signature, a photo, a one time code and the location, captured at the door and stored against the shipment. When a claim or a chargeback arrives, the answer is a waybill lookup rather than an argument.

Four kinds of proof at the door

The driver captures a signature on their phone, a photo of the parcel where it was handed over, and a one time code the customer reads out, and the device records where and when it happened. Each proof attaches to the shipment as it is captured, not later from a photo gallery.

You decide what counts as delivered

Proof requirements are set per merchant or per shipment type. A medicine handover can demand the one time code and a signature, a doorstep drop can take a photo alone, and a high value shipment can require all of it. The driver app will not close a stop until the required proof is in.

The code goes to the customer, not the driver

For shipments that require it, a one time code is sent to the customer over WhatsApp, with SMS as the fallback. The delivery completes only when the driver enters the code the customer received, so the parcel went to the person holding that phone, and a delivered status stops being a matter of trust.

Ready the day a dispute arrives

Every proof stays on the shipment record and is found by waybill number, customer phone or date. When a claim or a chargeback lands, you open the shipment and everything is there: who signed, what the parcel looked like, the code that was entered, and where and when it all happened. It exports as one record you can send to the bank or the merchant.

What this replaces

  • A dispute that comes down to the driver's word against the customer's.
  • Hunting through a box of signed run sheets for a delivery from March.
  • A chargeback conceded because the evidence could not be found in time.
  • Parcel photos sitting in a driver's phone gallery, attached to nothing.

Questions operators ask

What is proof of delivery?
Proof of delivery is the record a delivery operator keeps to show that a shipment reached the right person: a recipient signature, a photo of the parcel at handover, a one time code the customer received, and the location and time it happened. In QuickE the driver captures these in the driver app and they are stored against the shipment.
How does the one time code reach the customer?
The code is sent to the customer over WhatsApp, with SMS as the fallback. The driver enters it at the door, and a shipment that requires a code cannot be marked delivered without it.
Can different shipments require different proof?
Yes. Proof requirements are set per merchant or per shipment type, so a pharmacy delivery can require a one time code and a signature while a routine doorstep drop needs a photo. The driver app refuses to complete a stop until the required proof is captured.
How do I find the proof when a chargeback arrives?
Search by waybill number, customer phone or date, and the shipment record opens with every proof attached: the signature, the photo, the code entry, and the location and time of the handover. It exports as a single record you can send to the bank or the payment provider.
Does the merchant see the proof?
Yes. The proof appears on the shipment in the merchant portal the moment it is captured, so when their customer disputes a delivery the merchant answers from the record instead of calling you to ask what happened.
