A Zid store owner rarely has Zid orders only. There is the store, the WhatsApp order, the phone order and the pickup from the branch, and the cash from all of them ends up in the same drawer. This connection is being built so Zid orders join the same queue as everything else, and so every riyal collected is matched back to the Zid order it came from.
This connection is planned and not available yet. Nothing described below works today. Every line of it is how the connection will behave once we switch it on.
An order placed in your Zid store becomes a shipment with the customer name, the address as the customer wrote it, the phone number, the payment type and the amount to collect. The evening job of retyping the day into a sheet stops existing, and with it the typo that sends a driver to the wrong district.
02
Zid shows what the driver actually did
Picked up, out for delivery, delivered, refused at the door and returned to you are written back onto the Zid order as they happen. Your customer service reply comes from the order screen instead of a phone call to the driver, and two people never give a customer two different answers.
03
The customer knows before the knock
A WhatsApp message in Arabic goes out when the order is on its way, with a tracking link under your own store name and the amount the driver will ask for. Many of the refusals a cash on delivery store takes are a customer who was not home or was not expecting the amount, and both of those are a message problem before they are a delivery problem.
04
Cash matched to the Zid order
The amount a driver collects is posted against the Zid order and against that driver, so the store account is a list of orders with what was collected on each one. Shipping charge, cash handling and any return charge sit as their own lines against the order that caused them rather than as a single number deducted at the end.
05
A refused order becomes a return, not a hole
When a customer refuses, the parcel is tracked back to you as a return and the money is reversed on the same order, so your Zid account never shows cash that never arrived. The reason the customer gave is kept on the order, which is how you find out that one district or one product refuses more than the rest.
Questions operators ask
Can I connect my Zid store today?
No. The Zid connection is on the roadmap and is not available yet. This page describes what it will do once it is live, and a demo booking is the way to hear when that is.
What can I run before it is live?
Everything after the order. Export your Zid orders and upload the file, and dispatch, driver work, proof of delivery and COD tracking all run without any store connection at all. The connection removes the export step, it does not switch the system on.
Does QuickE replace Zid or the shipping I buy there?
No. Zid stays your storefront and your checkout. QuickE runs what happens after it, and any carrier you use runs on your own account and your own negotiated rates.
Can my own drivers and a carrier work from the same store?
Yes. An order is assigned by rules you set, such as city, weight, value or payment type, so your own drivers take what they can reach and the rest books with a carrier. Both routes report back into the same order list.
Will my customer see the name QuickE?
No. The tracking page, the WhatsApp messages and the delivery notification carry your store name and your colours. Your customer bought from you, so the delivery should look like you.
